In 2025, our work reinforced the clinical value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in neuroradiology, with a particular focus on supporting everyday decision-making. We led the MAGNIMS-CMSC-NAIMS international consensus on the implementation of MRI in the 2024 revision of the McDonald diagnostic criteria for multiple sclerosis, with special emphasis on the integration of optic nerve imaging and emerging biomarkers such as the central vein sign and paramagnetic rim lesions. In the field of neuro-oncology, we contributed to recommendations on the use of gadolinium-based contrast agents, promoting a more selective and indication-driven approach to contrast administration. Finally, in collaboration with IDI Bellvitge, we explored how quantitative imaging, radiomics, and artificial intelligence can be effectively integrated into clinical neuroradiology, with a focus on bridging technical innovation with real clinical needs.
