Main research priorities in 2025: -Postoperative functional outcomes following colon and rectal surgery. -Multimodal optimization and perioperative management in colon and rectal surgery. -Treatment of local recurrence and advanced rectal cancer, including new technologies. -Multidisciplinary management, impact of treatments, and development of new technologies in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases. -Biomarkers for the early detection and treatment of postoperative complications -New technologies for the early detection, treatment, and prevention of acute pancreatitis, liver surgery and transplantation -Cost-effectiveness in general and digestive surgery. -Prevention and treatment of abdominal wall pathology following abdominal surgery. -Intestinal microbiota. -Colorectal cancer in young patients. -Minimally invasive surgery and multidisciplinary perioperative management of patients undergoing thoracic surgery and lung transplantation.
