Our scope of action ranges from the analysis of massive data to generate new IA-based disease predictor algorithms to the development of new diagnostic biomarkers (i.e., Kidney) and the evaluation of existing diagnostic PoC devices for telemedicine applications. Our group is pioneering the clinical validation of capillary blood microsampling devices for continuous clinical follow-up in homecare scenarios. We also also focus in the development and preclinical validation of new nanomedicines and ATMPs (e.g., non-viral gene therapy and the delivery of intracellular inhibitors against undruggable molecular targets), including new polymer-based delivery systems, solid lipid nanoparticles, liposomes and stimuli-responsive hydrogels. We also host the Functional Validation and Preclinical Research unit (ISO9001:2015) – ICTS: Nanbiosis, performing preclinical validation studies to advance products to clinical phases.
