The Biomedical Research in Urology team has built a strong translational oncology program integrating molecular biology, biomarker discovery, advanced imaging, predictive modeling, and clinical implementation, focused on prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer. Their work includes mechanistic studies to identify therapeutic targets, high-throughput proteomics, and relevant preclinical models. A key priority is improving early detection and risk stratification in prostate cancer using MRI-based risk calculators, biomarker integration, optimized biopsy strategies, and structured diagnostic pathways. The team also assesses AI and machine learning tools to ensure clinical utility and interpretability. By combining laboratory research with prospective clinical studies and interdisciplinary collaboration, they advance precision oncology through practical diagnostic and prognostic tools that improve outcomes and quality of life.
